Critical care and Emergency Nursing

In the field of emergency nursing, nurses treat patients who are suffering from acute or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. They have a high degree of autonomy and skill to initiate necessary measures without outside direction, are adept at identifying life-threatening issues, prioritising the urgency of care, performing resuscitative measures and alternative treatments quickly and effectively, and educating the patient and his family on the information. Not just in emergency departments, but in a variety other settings as well, these actions can be carried out.
